"Dancing Iris" Selected

I am quite thrilled to report that after hanging  in the "Spring Forward" show at the Expressions Gallery in Berkeley, CA, "Dancing Iris" was selected to travel to the City of Berkeley Planning and Development Department where it will be available almost exclusively for decorators, designers and collectors to view.

I regret that I was unable to travel to the opening reception for the "Spring Forward" exhibit.  According to the Expressions Gallery Facebook page the opening was blast.  Here are some pictures that the gallery posted on Facebook.  I picked and chose a few of the many photos that showed my work hanging in the gallery on opening night.  It sure looks like it was a well attended and fun opening.
The red arrow in the middle-top of this frame shows "Dancing Iris"

It is very rewarding to see fiber and quilted arts establishing credibility in the art world at large.

"Fiber Perceptions" at the Cerritos, CA Library

The absolutely outstanding Cerritos Public Library accepted a 10-work exhibit titled "Fiber Perceptions" from Beyond the Edge Fiber Artists (a group to which I belong) to be displayed in their museum quality library throughout the month of August, 2014.  I was thrilled to find this publicity picture on the library's home page under the header of "Displays."
One of the members took these photos of the exhibit set-up.

Because my work has traveled to several venues, you may have seen it posted on my blog before, but if you have not, this one is my submission and I am tickled pink that it was selected for use in the publicity photo.
"Between Heaven and Earth" (38" x 48")
Here is the postcard that was used to announce the exhibit.
