Get Ready for Quilting Arts TV, Series 1400, Blog Hop

Quilting Arts TV, Series 1400, is sure to be great fun, informational and it is now ready for pre-order.  If you want to have a glimpse of my segment, go to snippets from Episode 1411,  The first picture shows a quilt that I made for this year's Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc.'s on-line benefit auction.  Then, scroll down to the first picture in the 3rd row entitled, Episode 1411 Preview.

During the day that my segment was taped, I had the opportunity to meet several of the artists whose exciting techniques appear on other episodes of Quilting Arts TV, Series 1400,  so I can't want to get my copy and learn new techniques from other super-talented artists.

SPECIAL BLOG HOP SCOOP...

On July 18, 2014, a blog hop will be announced on the Quilting Daily blog.  The blog hop will schedule Quilting Arts TV guest bloggers for slots the following week and will end with host, Susan Brubaker Knapp.  WooHoo!  My Linda's Art Quilts blog will be one of those on the blog hop.  I will be giving away to two lucky winners of a random drawing 1 yard each of 100% cotton fabric that I have dyed in the manner demonstrated in Quilting Arts TV, Series 1400.  To be entered into the random drawing, all one needs to do is leave a comment on my blog posting that day.  On that blog will also be a scaled pattern with directions on construction.  You will have to wait to find out what the pattern is until the day that my blog is featured.  Even though the Quilting Daily blog will post the schedule for the blog hop, I will also post it, so be sure to tune back in for an update.

SAQA Benefit Auction Starts in Two Weeks!!!

Reminder...Hear ye...Hear ye..

The 2013 SAQA Benefit Auction starts in two weeks on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time.  Click on the link above to preview all the great quilts that have been submitted for the auction. You can also find them on Pinterest this year.  Hoorah!  They showcase exceptionally well.

Here is the quilt that I submitted for the auction.  It appears on Page 1a, Row 13.  It was exciting to also see it shown first today on the Pinterest collection.  I'm sure that will change tomorrow, but for today, it was fun to see.

If you see a work that you would like to have, jump into the auction early.  The art goes very fast!

I don't know why the bottom corner of the quilt nearest my elbow appeared wonky in this picture.  I swear, it was squared up and perfectly rectangular :-)

Here I am demonstrating the method I developed for making polymer clay stamps for use on fabric.  It was heart-lifting to see how many quilt festival attendees were interested and it was wonderful to see an old friend, Susan Edwards--the pretty gal wearing a red and white striped blouse.

All the exhibits were absolutely astounding.  It was inspirational to be among the works of such talented artists.
