Beautiful, Linda! Are all these flags new? Looking forward to seeing them in person when we visit the exhibit.
ReplyDeleteMia, In answer to your question, ever since I first learned about The Prayer Flag Project from Jane LaFazio's blog, I've been making flags. However, it wasn't until I discovered how to add the project gadget to my blog yesterday that I actually participated in the group project. You'll enjoy these great little works of art when we visit the exhibit. They come from all over the world.

DeleteLove them, Susan
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like them Susan. It has been wonderful to see how many people have jumped in to offer their support by participating in Melanie Testa's project.
DeleteSusan, I thought your comment had to do with the Breast Pockets. So sorry for this mistake. The Prayer Flag project is another grand one and I've been honored to participate.
DeleteLOve all your flags.I work with a group of women sewing here in France and hope to get them involved at our next meeting
ReplyDeleteIf the Oceanside Museum of Art allows photographs to be taken, when I visit Quilt National that will be exhibited concurrently with the Prayer Flag Project, I will take pictures and post them here on my blog. In this topsy turvy world any prayer for goodness and healing and love has to have an impact, even if only for those making the flags. Thank you for your kind comment. These 5"x8" with 3" fold backs for hanging can go together in a flash or can be as detailed as one would like. It will be nice for the women in your group to participate. Many lives have been touched by this project.
